In the third quarter of 2024, the communication app landscape in Panama saw interesting trends according to Sensor Tower data.

The app's weekly downloads showed an upward trend mid-quarter, reaching a high of about 15.3K in early September. However, weekly active users experienced a gradual decline, starting from around 761K at the beginning of the quarter and ending at roughly 667K.

Telegram by Telegram FZ-LLC experienced a steady climb in weekly revenue, reaching its peak at $1.2K in mid-August. The download numbers were fairly consistent, with a peak of approximately 16.4K towards the end of August. The app maintained a stable base of active users, hovering around 205K throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger from WhatsApp LLC showed relatively low weekly revenue, remaining around $25 throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at approximately 12.4K in mid-August, while active users saw a slight increase, reaching over 1.9M by the end of September.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. did not generate any revenue during the quarter. Weekly downloads were relatively steady, with a slight peak at 7.3K in mid-August. Active users showed minor fluctuations, ranging from 218K to 229K over the quarter.
